South Head Multisport Challenge

The South Head Challenge is a Multisport race held at Lake Ototoa. 11km kayak, 26km mountain bike and 10km run.

Hosted by the Waitemata Canoe and Multisport Club, the South Head Challenge is situated at Lake Ototoa, about one hour from central Auckland on the South Head of the Kaipara Harbour.

This stunning location provides a multisport challenge that is a fast pace hit-out for top athletes and the ideal race for first timers; kayaking on Lake Ototoa and entering the northern end of Woodhill Forrest for the mountain bike and run. The compact central transition area means a support team is optional as all stages start and finish at the reserve
