Location: Orton Bradley Park, near Christchurch
A unique event only 20 minutes from the centre of Christchurch set amidst the majesty of Banks Peninsula's extinct volcanoes with magnificent vistas of Lyttelton Harbour and Mt's Herbert & Bradley.
This is a race of laps ... each lap is made up of two loops ... one 6.9km & one of 5.9km, so roughly 13km per lap depending on how we set out the aid area.
Each full lap has around 600m of altitude gain and loss ... for those doing the 161km (100 miles) that 8000m is like climbing Everest.
The course is a mixture of open 4wd tracks, easy single track with a bit of sweet technical downhill single track that will test tired bodies and krayzie minds.
