Came across this interesting article on the Daily Mail site about running shoes.

I don't claim to know anything about either shoes or running so I'll let you make up your own minds. All I've learned so far (the hard way, naturally) is that running too hard for too long with cheap shoes is bad for you

I'd certainly be interested to hear any opinions.

Looks like the BBC have picked up a similar story, based on new research, but it seems this article highlights a few of the tradeoffs involved.

Shoes May Have Changed How We Run

I'm not exactly qualified to express an authoritative opinion on this matter but I think my feet would be well and truly stuffed without a good pair of running shoes.
