Update from the race organiser:

"Sorry but due to a number of factors, i.e. rising costs, competition from a Canterbury event, available personnel etc, we will not be holding this ride in February 2014.

We have really enjoyed organising the event over the past 6 years and hope that you have enjoyed riding it. We met some really nice folk out participating in this event.

We are anticipating addressing some of these problems and are hopeful of running the event in the future."

Mountain bike the spectacular South Island high country at YOUR pace. You start any time between 10am and 10.30am, you will not be timed, so there is no pressure. If you want to race your mates, that is fine, otherwise ride at your pace and enjoy the scenery.

This ride, through privately owned Flock Hill Station, is the only opportunity for mountain bikers to experience the stunning and varied terrain without being a guest of Flock Hill’s lodge. Striking rock formations, craggy hills, pristine rivers and wide open spaces make up this 14,000 hectare working station – film set for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
