Rail Trail Rampage
The Complete Performance Rail Trail Rampage course involves running or walking along a packed gravel track, and near the end at Little River, you will need to cross over State Highway 75 (which will be patrolled by Traffic Management) to lead you towards the finish at the Awa-Iti Domain, Little River. Along the course there are a few bridges to cross and a few gates that you will need to go through.
The course takes you alongside some beautiful lakes, foothills and farmland of Canterbury's Banks Peninsula. You will get to take in the unique environment that this specific area has to offer, as well as the possibility of seeing some lovely bird life too. You'll even get to learn some of the history of this beautiful trail. Come and enjoy the fun atmosphere that the Complete Performance Rail Trail Rampage has to offer!
The 24 km course is mainly flat with a total ascent of 182m and a descent of 185m. The 10km course is again mainly flat, with an ascent of 72m, and descent of 78m.
A percentage of your entry fee goes towards the Department of Conservation to help maintain our beautiful New Zealand.
